Stay red hot and roastie-toastie this winter

With a global following Pynkiss knows that the weather can be very different say for our Dubai customers and our Beirut ones, our New York customers and our Floridian ones. Now, as we continue on our mission for global domination, (purely in the fashion sense, you understand?) some you out there will really be feeling the chill as winter sets in.

So, we’ve consulted with Hello Kitty on what she thinks will keep you all red hot and roasties-toastie this winter. And we do mean RED hot – it’s one of the big colours for this season.

A Real Russian Doll
Inspired by one of the coldest countries on earth our Sweet Russian Collection makes for perfect winter wearing, and trousers tucked into boots stops freezing drafts reaching knee height! Add in some Pynkiss layers for added warmth and you really will be just like a Russian doll.

Double Cuddle
When it’s really cold we all want our clothes to give us a warm hug and this ensemble, again from Sweet Russian does precisely that... TWICE! Every little lady needs a snuggily two-piece and with a splash of this season’s must-have colour, red, you’ll know you’ll be bang-on trend-wise too.

Cool, But Warm
That is the perfect description for this outfit from our Love Autumn Collection. Thick padded jackets are so in this season and you simply can’t go wrong with red. Warm and stylish is always the fashion aim for winter and even Hello Kitty herself is doing just that on the front of the fleecey top. An all round winner for winter!

Love Your Layers
This is our tip of the season – layers. You can still look uber cool and stay roastie-toastie warm by adding the layers, little ladies. Pynkiss T-shirts (this one and the snug corduroy dress from Love Autumn) over our long-sleeved tops will keep you warm but still cool in the fashion sense of the word. Go on, layer on the fashion.

Fifi’s Fashion Blog – A very cool Yule

To celebrate our Pynkiss collections hitting the American streets and malls, I’ve been stateside checking out each and every US stockists for you. Poor old me, I’m quite worn out with all that flying first class and the endless fashion advice I’ve had to give out. Phew!
With Christmas coming for our American friends I thought I’d help you all out there to buy the perfect Pynkiss pressie that any Hello Kitty fan would just adore this yuletide. But my time at our LA stockist got me thinking - what do you give to the little Hollywood stars that truly have it all? Pynkiss, people, that’s what!

Nahla Aubry-Berry
She’s such a little sweetie and already showing fashion flare, Nahla’s a great fashion all-rounder that clearly loves her jeans as much as her dresses. I’d have Santa put this purple number in her Christmas stocking this year – it’s the perfect mix between girly and tom-boy and the bag could carry the rest of the pressies from her stocking! Perfect.

Suri Cruise-Holmes
Suri is now quite the little lady about town since her move to New York, but if she’s staying city-side for Noel then she’s going to need something warm and wonderful to keep out the chill. As her famous Dad’s been seen out and about in London wearing his own version of a quilted jacket, this is what I would wrap up and leave under the tree for sweet Suri this Christmas.

Apple Paltrow
We don’t get to see little Apple very much but every little girl longs to be the angel in the nativity play or the fairy on top of the Christmas tree. I’d make that wish come true for Apple and send her this fashionable fairy-like outfit from our Snow Queen Collection for this year’s Noel gift.

Shiloh Pitt-Jolie
We all know little Shiloh’s a tom-boy so I think the A La Garconne Collection would make the ideal gift for her. These trousers have a little sparkle that’s just wonderful for the festive season, and Hello Kitty herself is even looking like the perfect tom-boy on the front of this monochrome, long-sleeved top.

 

Willow Pinkett-Smith
Now, Willow is a real urban-dresser. She loves her skate clothing and always applies that unique twist to every outfit. She clearly styles herself and has an acute sense of what has real fashion edge. For her it has to be this quirky ensemble from the Love Autumn Collection. No matter what the weather shorts and boots are so ‘in’ right now. I’d love to wrap this up and send it to her... but I’d tell her to team with thick tights to beat the winter chill. Bbbbbrrrr!

 


Harper Beckham
What a cutie this little angel is and with a fashion guru mother Harper is sure to grow up with a keen sense of style. I know this would suit both her and her mother’s taste for muted colours down to the ground, so this outfit would be my gift to her this year. And aren’t those little spat shoes just to die for – uber uber uber stylish!

When it comes to perfect pressies Pynkiss really does have the lot. Now, for my own gifts....

Hello Kitty’s Top Ten Fashion Tips and Trends for 2013

Hello Kitty has been on a whirlwind, whistle-stop tour of the world’s fashion weeks for the very first glimpse of just what we’ll all be wearing next year. This was the Pynkiss Style Team and Pynkiss designers’ opportunity to get ahead in the fashion stakes and Hello Kitty made sure they haven’t missed a fashion trick. But never one to keep everything a secret Hello Kitty has put together her hints, tips and trends, as well as a few dos and don’ts, for another stunning year of fashion. But remember where you heard it first!

Turning Japanese
Now, what could be more appropriate than taking influence from Hello Kitty’s spiritual home - Japan. Everything from kimonos to geisha clogs will influence High Street and high-end fashions alike. We reckon the heavy-framed Japanese-esque sunglasses will be massive... As in popular not huge in size!

Back to the 1960s
Square cut shift dresses will be the look through spring and summer – think Twiggy circa 1966. Bold line patterns, stripes and cubes will further enhance the ‘box’ look. DO team with thick tights and even over trousers as tunic tops

Baby-gros for adults may be perfect for going to bed in, but 2013 will see some venture out in them – Give this play on a playsuit a big fashion miss! Just DON’T go there.

Don’t even think about going out in one-sies, fashion fans!

Waist Not, Want Not
High-waisted A-line skirts and wide-legged trousers will make a return with soft floaty materials to keep them light and fluid

Degrees of Separation
Separates were big for this season, but next season it will be dresses that look like separates – DO spare wracking your brains for what blouse goes with what skirt and let the designers decide for you

Miss Demure 2013
Showing off too much leg or cleavage will become passé and even a fashion faux pas for 2013. Necklines will rise and hem lines lower, even in the hotter months as cool clothes will simply mean lighter fabrics

Let’s Sport
Not only one of Pynkiss’ own collections but now a fully-fledged fashion phenomena in its own right. Sports inspired designs and sportswear will continue to be huge, and that includes a sense of patriotism with international flag designs and colours cropping up on geographically relevant catwalks.

Get Your Blue Jeans On
Well, not just blue but all the colours of the rainbow. Hello Kitty thinks that denim will be massive news in 2013 and will feature in shirts, jackets, hats, waistcoats and even boots, as well as the traditional and globally popular jeans. Denim has dominated the fashion world for decades now but don’t expect only plain denims, the designs and prints will be wild, wacky and out of this world.

Green is the Colour
Hello Kitty thinks that design studios the world over will going for green fabrics. Rather than dressing head to foot in camouflage colours and blending in with the park, by ‘green’ she means ecologically sound, recycled, recyclable and fair trade fabrics.

Prints, Prints Prints
Prints are going to be the big fashion trend that will last all year long, from skulls to animal skin patterns, flowers to city sky-lines and in the case of Pynkiss, Hello Kitty in all colours and poses!

A*M*E, the new pop princess, just loves Pynkiss!

Billed by MTV back in January of this year as ‘one to watch’, A*M*E (pronounced Amy) certainly has had a busy year. Just like Pynkiss 2012 is proving to be a life-changing one for the 18 year-old from London.

As well as her single City Lights and a new single, Play the Game Boy (due out November 5^th) winning her a legion of fans, she has also become a fan of something herself. Namely, Pynkiss!

We heard she loved the brand and so we got the Pynkiss Style Team onto it straight away. Famed for styling the crowds of fashion fans that attended our stores launches across the Middle East, they jumped at the chance to see what Pynkiss designs would look best on A*M*E. Once the decision was made we packed them all up in a gorgeous Pynkiss bag and sent them off to her, after all if you’re touring with the likes of Jessie J and JLS a girl has to look her best at all times.

A*M*E was so pleased with her bundle of goodies that she thanked us personally on her official Twitter page. Now that’s what we like to see, a pop star with great manners as well as great talent.

We wish A*M*E all the best with her new single and hope to see her on the red carpet, or even better, the stage in her Pynkiss finery real soon.

Fashion track and field for a sporting summer

Hello fashion (and Fifi) fans!

Hello Kitty has asked me, Fifi the Fashionista, to write a few fashion blogs for her and who

am I to refuse a request from an international style icon? So read on, my chic little followers,

and see what Hello Kitty’s fashion adviser says will be BIG for the coming season...

 

Now, as I well know, high fashion is usually to be found on the catwalks of the worlds fashion capitals – New York, London, Paris, Milan etc etc. This year however, the fashion stakes have been played out on the tracks and fields of the world’s sporting venues. From Euro 2012 to the Olympics and now the Paralympics, the whole world has gone sporting crazy and that includes the fashion world.

As I travelled across the globe attending each and every fashion week with the A-listers that lead the rest of us mere mortals in global fashion trends, a definite sporting theme emerged. I got a great deal of inspiration from the style big-wigs hosting these events and took those ideas back to the Pynkiss design studio in the heart of Milan’s fashion district. The result? The Pynkiss’ Let’s Sport collection especially designed for this autumn and winter as the end to a wonderful sporting summer. So, my little fashion friends, here’s what we’ve come up with for those of you that enjoy football as much as fashion.

Truly flexible fashion from the Pynkiss Let’s Sport collection

The little cutie above, (and I mean the outfit as well as the model) truly allows the Let’s Sport collection to be equally at home as a fashion or sports item. Wear this in your judo/karate/gym lesson and you’ll be the envy of your sports fellows! As you can see we really have taken inspiration from every sporting endeavour. This white wrap-around look can only be inspired by the ancient craft of martial arts (look, not only am I a talented fashion adviser, I’m also a poet!). This design also features Hello Kitty clearly enjoying a healthy workout – well, how else would she keep herself in shape for her very own high-end fashion label?

Sport meets rock and roll..... It can only be London 2012 year!

The Olympic opening and closing ceremonies were all about sport meets rock and roll, and this outfit completely epitomises that ethos. With pop, rock and dance music playing out in the planet’s sporting venues this is an ideal mix that is set to continue throughout the rest of the year. Remember, you saw it here first!

Electric blue will be everywhere this autumn and winter

I hate the winter, all those dull grey skies, rain and snow; it really does make me feel blue. The only good thing about it is the fact that I get to wear more clothes than I do in summer, but should I mention blue for the latter part of 2012 then I will definitely be talking ELECTRIC BLUE. Bang on trend as usual, this vibrant blue will be everywhere this coming fashion season, and it will add a much needed injection of the colour of summer skies to an otherwise chilly and grey season. And just look at the Pynkiss purple lining on the cutesy little jacket – LOVE IT!

The Pynkiss Fashion Decathlon

 Unless you’re from another planet you cannot have failed to notice that this year is Olympic year. 

 The ancient event, reinvented early in the 20^th Century, will this year be held in Europe’s largest city, London, and anyone who’s anyone in the world of sport will be there cheering on the sporting stars from more than 205 nations around the planet. The world has literally gone sporting crazy... and so in true Hello Kitty and Pynkiss style, we’ve created our ‘fashion decathlon’ with some slightly less sporting disciplines than the Olympic counterpart...

Shopping – Before taking part in the Pynkiss decathlon you’ll need to do a little energetic shopping in one of the Pynkiss boutiques recently opened all over the world. This is just a snapshot of what to expect  if there isn’t a store currently near you (it’s the Pynkiss stand at the world famous Pitti Bimbo fashion show in stylish Florence back in June this year) to give you a taste of what’s coming your way soon, and of course, the online store will be opening early next year.

Swimming  – The fabulously fluid aquatics venue in the Olympic park will play host to swimming, but whether on the beach or at the pool, you will look cuter than Hello Kitty herself in this pink and yellow bikini with matching towel.
